2026 Undergraduate Admissions

Van Lang Global School announces the official information for its 2026 undergraduate admissions.

1. Eligibility

Applicants who have graduated from high school in Vietnam or hold internationally recognized qualifications equivalent to the Vietnamese high school diploma.

Applicants holding a vocational intermediate diploma in a related field, who have also fulfilled the required upper secondary academic knowledge in accordance with national regulations.

2. Admission Method

Accordingly, the University offers admission to more than 30 academic programs through five admission methods:

- Method 1: Admission based on the 2026 National High School Graduation Examination results

- Method 2: Admission based on high school academic transcripts

- Method 3: Admission based on the 2026 competency assessment results of Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam National University Hanoi, or the Thinking Skills Assessment of Hanoi University of Science and Technology

- Method 4: Combined admission based on academic results and aptitude test scores

- Method 5: Direct admission in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.


ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS (By Admission Pathway)

1. General Admission Requirements

- For all admission pathways and academic programs, applicants’ scores are converted to a 30-point scale. For programs with a main subject requirement, the main subject is weighted by a coefficient of 2 before conversion to the 30-point scale.

- Minimum entry requirements for applicants applying to Health Sciences programs (excluding the National High School Graduation Examination pathway):

+ Medicine, Pharmacy, and Dentistry: Grade 12 academic performance ranked Excellent or a high school graduation score of 8.0 or above.

+ Nursing and Medical Laboratory Technology: Grade 12 academic performance ranked Good or a high school graduation score of 6.5 or above.

- Minimum entry requirements for applicants applying to Law and Economic Law programs (excluding the National High School Graduation Examination pathway): Grade 12 academic performance ranked Excellent or a high school graduation score of 8.5 or above.

- For programs requiring aptitude examinations (Fine Arts, Music, Theatre & Cinema), applicants must either take the aptitude test at Van Lang University or submit valid aptitude test results from other recognized institutions in accordance with university regulations, including:
Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts, Ton Duc Thang University, Hanoi Architectural University, University of Industrial Fine Arts, University of Arts Hue University, Vietnam National Academy of Music, Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, Hanoi College of Music, Hue Academy of Music, Ho Chi Minh City University of Theatre and Cinema, and Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema.

+ Piano and Vocal Performance: Applicants must achieve at least 5.0 in Music Aptitude Test 1 and at least 7.0 in Music Aptitude Test 2.

+ Acting for Theatre, Film & Television and Film & Television Directing: Applicants must achieve at least 5.0 in Theatre & Cinema Aptitude Test 1 and at least 7.0 in Theatre & Cinema Aptitude Test 2.

+ For programs including Interior Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Design, and Digital Art & Design, applicants may choose one of the following aptitude drawing tests: Fine Arts Drawing, Figure Drawing, or Decorative Drawing.

+ For the Architecture program, applicants may choose one of the following tests: Fine Arts Drawing or Figure Drawing.

- For admission subject combinations that include English, Chinese, or French, applicants may convert their foreign language certificates into equivalent admission scores in accordance with the regulations of Van Lang University.


2. Admission Requirements for Each Admission Method

Method 1: Admission based on the 2026 National High School Graduation Examination results

- Admission is based on the results of the 2026 National High School Graduation Examination in accordance with the regulations and schedule issued by Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training.

- Applicants are evaluated according to the subject combinations required for each academic program.

Method 2: Admission Based on High School Academic Records (Transcripts)

- The admission score is calculated based on the average scores of three subjects within the selected subject combination across six semesters (Grades 10, 11, and 12).

- Minimum entry requirements for applicants applying to Health Sciences programs (not applicable to the High School Graduation Examination score admission method):

+ For the programs in Medicine, Pharmacy, and Odonto-Stomatology: applicants must have achieved a Grade 12 academic performance of “Excellent” or higher, and obtained a total score of at least 20 points in three subjects of the High School Graduation Examination according to the admission subject combination (or the scores of Mathematics, Literature, and one additional subject), or a high school graduation score of at least 8.0.

+ For the programs in Nursing and Medical Laboratory Technology: applicants must have achieved a Grade 12 academic performance of “Good” or higher, and obtained a total score of at least 16.5 points in three subjects of the High School Graduation Examination according to the admission subject combination (or the scores of Mathematics, Literature, and one additional subject), or a high school graduation score of at least 6.5.

- Minimum entry requirements for applicants applying to the programs in Law and Economic Law (not applicable to the High School Graduation Examination score admission method): applicants must have achieved a Grade 12 academic performance of “Excellent” or higher, and obtained a total score of at least 18 points in three subjects of the High School Graduation Examination according to the admission subject combination (or the scores of Mathematics, Literature, and one additional subject), or a high school graduation score of at least 8.5.

Pathway 3: Admission based on the 2026 competency assessment results of Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), Vietnam National University Hanoi (VNU Hanoi), or the Thinking Skills Assessment of Hanoi University of Science and Technology

- Admission is based on the results of the 2026 Competency Assessment Test for high school students organized by Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City.

- Scores will be converted to a 30-point scale in accordance with the conversion method applied by Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City.

Pathway 4: Combined admission based on aptitude test results

Admission based on aptitude test scores in accordance with the University’s regulations.
